Meet Amanda Dashwood
CO-FOUNDER AND LEAD DESIGNER
Born into a family of creatives in Tucson, Amanda’s design career was inspired by the beautiful artwork that filled her childhood. She fell in love with the South after a cross country move to Savannah to earn an Interior Design BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and she never looked back! For 15 years, Amanda worked at award winning interior design firms in Atlanta, developing innovative hospitality concepts and traveling the globe to ensure flawless implementation. She established Amanda Dashwood Interiors in 2016 and designed high end homes and small businesses for several years before co-founding Rook and Dash in 2022. Amanda appreciates the intricacies of every project and relishes the challenge of striking a meaningful balance between aesthetic preferences and functional needs while staying within her clients’ financial parameters. Amanda lives in Oakhurst with her husband, two children, and dog, Penny.
Meet Jillian Rooker
CO-FOUNDER AND LEAD DESIGNER
After several years of designing movie and television sets in New York City, Jillian returned to her hometown of Atlanta to earn an MFA in Interior Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design. She then spent nearly a decade at Atlanta’s top hospitality design firm developing groundbreaking interior spaces for a range of clients, including established restaurateurs, global hoteliers, and Fortune 500 companies. She founded Sacred Space Design Studio in 2018, where she specialized in residential and commercial interior design, before co-founding Rook and Dash in 2022. Jillian views design as a way of life –– an environmental language that transcends human psyche to engage the senses, inspire behaviors, and influence perspectives. A seasoned yogi, she infuses mindful practices like living with intention, authentic nature, and balance into every project. Jillian lives in Kirkwood with her husband, daughter, and dog, Chester.
